    This beautiful purple flower came up this spring. I have never seen it before.

    Thanks Ron! I have spent half this afternoon trying to remember and identify what I ( or the wind or birds) have planted in my garden beds and didn't want to do more. ;))

    The English common name for this plant is snake's head fritillary.
