Identification: Bought from the flea market !

    Hay guys bought this plant over the weekend , cheap as chips .. the lovely lady that sold it to me says that it is a banana plant ... however then my friend says it not and that it's a palm .. who do you guys think? whatever it is i planted anyway ... is it too early to tell?

    for sure a banana. Hard to tell yet, but most likely a Musa basjoo.

    great have done some research on it .. interesting how the bananas that it produces are not edible... the leaves on my plant has still not come out yet .... grrr i thought people say these types of plants grow quick??
