Tomato Leaf mould issue

    Help... I am trying to look after our tomato plants while my wife, the gardener, is overseas. The leaves have developed grey spots and/or white mould. Attached is a photo. Can anything be done besides cutting off the leaves? They are almost all affected though.

    Looks like powdery mildew. Air circulation amid the leaves is very important. Pull off some leaves to allow better circulation. And water from below as with soaker hoses. Try not to get the leaves wet. Some people pull off most of the leaves leaving just enough to feed the plant. I was told they want to grow tomatoes not leaves. I'm not quite that brave. barb

    Barbara, thanks very much for replying. I did take your advice and ended up cutting off a lot of leaves, although only the affected ones, which was the majority. Seemed sensible to get rid of the problem, though it remains to be seen if I have left enough leaves on the plants to generate any nourishment to the fruit. Cheers.
