Grapes

Hi
I live on Vancouver Island and found out that the local wineries use all the grapes they produce. I want to buy grapes to make my wine, preferable grapes from California. Does anyone know where I can buy them, please? Thanks. Wistle

 

Just the fruit, or grape plants?

I can't help you find the grapes, I can talk knowledgeably about wine-making.

Down here in Georgia, we have lots of peaches, and the peach wine that I used to make was superiour to anything else that I've ever drank.

I've made wine from the wild elderberries that occurred naturally on the property, and from the little crab apples & hawthorn fruit...

Before getting all involved in border crossings and stuff, maybe consider the locally available fruits?

Thanks a lot for your reply. I normally make my wine from California grapes and it is excellent, but this time I want to get the grapes from Vancouver city, but don't know where. Your wine sounds very interesting, but we don't have enough peach production here. Once again, thank you. Wistle
