Can anyone help me identify a plant at my new home... We just moved in just under 2 weeks ago and have been trying to identify a flowering bush/tree. It is about 6-8 feet tall but does not just have one big tree stump, instead it has a bunch of little red stumps bunched together and has not started blooming yet, the leaves are round and pointy on top and theres these little bunches of green things, im assuming thats were the flowering part is... they usually are in the middle of 4 leaves and are starting to go a dark purple on the tips of the little bud things... please help me identify it... !!!

This is a bit of a guess, but what do you think of red-osier dogwood (aka Cornus sericea) as a possibility?
