Stumbled in, thought I'd register and contribute.

I've been growing pachycaul trees and caudex forming plants since 1991. Cyphostemma juttae was my 1st purchase and I still have it today. My collection spans 150 species and 400+ plants, from small geophytes to huge caudex specimens, common and ultra rare. About a 1/3 of my plants are grown in raised beds, the rest are in pots. I've made bleachers to increase ground space and make plants easier to view.

    Thank you BrianO,

Let's start small. Here's one you don't see often, Euphorbia duseimata in a 2in bonsai pot.

    Caudex1,

Great collection! I wish I had the growing season that you do. I am pretty much limited to summer growers and only have about 12 weeks of "active" growth when they can finally get out in the sun.

It looks like you have had plenty of success and experience with these plants, so I really would be interested in having you post your thoughts on some of these questions. It has only been the past few years where I have "discovered" these wonderful "fat plants" and started to collect them. Since then I have read every bit of information I could get my hands on. I thought I was a little obsessed, then I saw your photo and realized that I am not as "sick" as I thought it I was. Thank you! ; )

Please post your specimen photos in our photo gallery!

    Talk to you later,

    Mark
