    Hey guys!
Right now I'm living in Toronto and, while walking on the street, I found some trees in the sidewalk. All of them didn't have any leaves on, and I only moved here, so I can't show you the leaves, but all the trees had little reddish berries, a little bit smaller than marbles. I know little about botanics, so I hope you can help me identify it :S I was also wandering if they are poisonous or not- I noticed some birds eating them so that started me thinking...

I attached two images so you can see them.

    Thanks :)

    Ditto to crabapple (Malus sp.).

Edible when cooked (and provided they're not so old as to be fermenting, which yours look as though they might be!).

Note though that birds eating them is not a safe indicator - there are a lot of berries which birds can eat, but are poisonous to people.
