Hello! I live in north of Toronto, zone 5 and I have a fig tree that came out this year from presidents choice.
I only have a balcony garden so I was wondering, when do I bring my fig inside for the winter? Before or after the first frost? Do I water it well or let it dry out. Should it go in a cool but heated basement or the semi-insulate garage? Our coldest temps are between minus 15-20 in the winter.
    Thanks :)

Move in after leaves drop, monitor soil moisture throughout winter. Garage more likely to be suitable. Do not let soil in container freeze up solid.
