Does anyone know which of the Bomarea species below are found in the Andes mountains of Colombia? I would like to try to narrow down what I have in the woods around my house.

    Bomarea angustipetala Baker
    Bomarea brachypus Kraenzl.
    Bomarea bracteolata Gereau
Bomarea caldasii (Kunth) Asch. & Graebn.
    Bomarea chaparensis Hofreiter
    Bomarea edulis Herb.
    Bomarea floribunda Herb.
    Bomarea hieronymi Pax
    Bomarea holtonii Hochr.
    Bomarea rosea Herb.
    Bomarea sanguinea Kraenzl.

Photographed flower is common where I live (2100m Western Cordillera).

What's in the photo looks like a really robust specimen of B. heironymi - and you should note that you're close enough to the Northern Ecuadorean cordilleras do have some of our species as well.

In terms of your distributions, here goes - I've bolded the species that appear in Colombia, and added image links:

    Bomarea angustipetala Baker - Colombia
    Bomarea brachypus Kraenzl. - Ecuador
    Bomarea bracteolata Gereau - Panama
Bomarea caldasii (Kunth) Asch. & Graebn. - Costa Rica all the way South to Peru.
    Bomarea chaparensis Hofreiter - Bolivia
Bomarea edulis Herb. - Mexico all the way through to Ecuador, and as far East as Venezuela and Suriname
Bomarea floribunda Herb. - synonym of B. multiflora L; Venezuela
Bomarea hieronymi Pax - Colombia and Ecuador; it's known in Carchi in Ecuador so it likely overlaps with Yumbo in Colombia
Bomarea holtonii Hochr. - synonym of B. pauciflora Kunth; Colombia and Venezuela
    Bomarea rosea Herb. - Peru
Bomarea sanguinea Kraenzl. - Bolivia and Peru

You might find Tropicos a useful tool, particularly the Name Search and Image Search functions. The Field Museum's Plant Guides is also a good, searchable pictorial reference.

The list you provided hardly touches the species found in Colombia, let alone those from Northern Ecuador.
