I found this plant growing from a dead potted tree. My mom has the same thing growing at her place. I only have pictures of the seed pod that already opened and shed its seeds. I've placed the pod by an AA battery for scale. It grew from a single vine with many almost canadian leaf style leaf that wrapped itself around the dead tree. The tree was about 5' tall in the medium-large pot. There was only 1 seed pod that matured enough to shed its seeds. There were alot of smaller pods that froze before getting too big. Central Alberta, Canada area.

Difficult to tell with the photographs, but likely an introduced wild cucumber, Echinocystis lobata.
