Gallium odoratum is found growing some 500 miles north of the area where I found this plant. Since I identified it, incorrectly obviously, as sp. odoratum, I do not know the species.

It certainly looks like Galium odoratum. It's cultivated as a garden plant and isn't difficult to grow, so would it be that much of a surprise to find it as a garden escape well outside it's natural range?

hortiphoto, Please excuse my tardy reply to your response to my thread. I use a usb rechargeable internet key. It can only be recharged once a month which can leave me 2-3 weeks without access to internet if I download videos.

However, Thanks for your reply and opinion. Initially I was wrong about this species not growing in my region. Wishing you all the very best, duffy
