    Hi,

I've been through every identification program online and am stumped. We have a couple trees that the previous owner believes are thought to be extinct. We also have vines that are nearly identical, and I personally believe they are the same plant.

Every year, around autumn, they let off quite a stink.

Sorry for not attaching, but here is a link to a page that contains all the pics I've taken.

Note the curvature of the trunk....the vines have the same feature at their base, though much smaller.

I have no pictures of the berries, but I believe (am not positive) that they are little dark purple or black colored.

    Can anyone ID this? Thanks!

Possibly Clerodendrum species. The leaves of this do smell horrid.
Difficult to tell from your pictures, but it looks like Clerodendrum inerme.

three shiny leaves growing together usually means poison ivy. in some of the pics it definitely looks like poison ivy is what you have there.

poison ivy can grow as a vine or a bush and if the bush is allowed to get big enough, it can become a tree. not everyone is allergic to it either...

seems to me that you've got the ivy growing in vining formation on some type of tree/bush.
