I acquired some foot long cuttings of "crown vetch" that have been in a vase of water for almost two weeks now, hoping to get some tiny roots before putting them out on a hillside on the side of my property.
I see a little something in the way of roots, but barely, they still look nice and healthy though.

Should I just plant them in soil and hope for the best? Would they root more quickly in soil? I'm just afraid they might dry up before having a chance to grow a bigger, stronger root system.
