I took these pictures of mushrooms growing on my ornamental bed, close to Juniper, in the middle of June, last year. Could anyone enlighten me what they are? The bed had been mulched with a horse manure a few weeks before that. I have Pine and Fir trees growing at about 10 - 15 m distance from the bed. I live in BC in the S-W part of the Kootenays.
Maybe Agrocybe praecox. The underside of the cap and a view of the stipe (whether ringed or not) should be seen to attain a more reliable identification. Cheers, Harri Harmaja http://www.luomus.fi/users/harmaja/vasculars.htm
I know it is difficult to make a hundred percent reliable identification based on the pictures. I appreciate Harri your suggestion.
