Hello, I got seed's from the wild flower black-eyed susan Rudbeckia hirta. My question is: do I sow the seeds out before oder after the winter. Some seeds need the winter to germinate. I could not find it. Your help is needed. Thanks

    Hi
When I was on the coast,
I ussually stored them in the freezer compartment in the fridge.
Till spring/early summer and then "threw" them around the garden.

  3. Well, in Illinois, they are native, so when there seed heads dry out naturally in aug-sept, this is the best time to sow them into the ground...note: carefully drop the seeds onto the ground dont actually plant them... some species need light to germinate

Thunbergia can be simply dug in where it lies the past season.. I lOVE these perennials..I'm always fiddling with bigger and bigger flowers and having great success. Hopefully you will too.. Deb :)
