I have copied this from the posting in White Rock / South Surrey. Nadia, please post the original photos here as a reply.

I added a zoom of one of the photos, and now am convinced by the look of the calyx tube and sepals that this is a campanulata of some sort. My comments will make more sense when the original photos are back, as they show a lot of small trunks right from the ground. The only 'Okame' I know are grafted high onto something inappropriate. This shrubby looking tree gives the appearance of rootstock growth, so I'm wondering if it was 'Okame' grafted onto some other campanulata.

I wondered about trees at the UBC Farm orchard that looked like 'Okame', some with hairy stems and blooming with leaves and others no hairs and no leaves. Maybe one of those is a different campanulata?

Here are the stalks of cherry on Goggs, I didn't find main trunk, none of them cut. This tree is very healthy, no signs of any disease. And I don't see now that it is Whitcomb.
