potinia faseri bright red or rusty red?

Hi,
I put in a 6' photinia fraseri single standard tree early this year. The red leaves are a rust colour, not the beautiful bright red I've seen on other photinas. Is it patience (ie next year) or am I missing something?

There is some variation between specimens, plus the color lessens as the leaves mature and turn green after each flush of new growth each year.
