Could someone please help me with a problem I am having with my beautiful mimosa tree. Yellow Jackets are making holes in limbs and trunk and other insects are infesting the tree. It has a few dead limbs and we are afraid we are going to lose the tree.

Does anyone know a way to treat the tree.

Thanking you in advance for any and all help,

    Jo Anne

    Hi Jo Anne,

Yellow jackets don't make holes in trees. They are probably harvesting the honeydew (waste) from another pest. Recycling at it's best. I suspect that your tree may have cottony cushion scale.
