Possibly a wild orchid?

This little wild-looking plant is growing in a scruffy, rocky untended pathway. But on closer inspection it appeared to be a little orchid....possibly. The many photos I found on line do not match this plant. The flowers are purple and white and are just starting to open. It is my hope that it is a brave little collection of orchid plants growing untended and ignored, except by me, on a fairly well travelled pathway in White Rock.
