I bought a bare 5ft pear tree last month and it started leaf'ing a couple of weeks ago but now the leafs are starting to fall of and i don't know why. There are no signs of insects or anything and the leaves are green (maybe slightly pale green but no orange or brown marks).
What could be causing this? Lack of water or to much water?
I can get pictures if you need them.

If it's also wilted it needs more moisture. If the new growth got frosted and is now dropping, it should have discolored first.

There have been some frosty nights recently in Scotland, this can kill the tender young leaves. It should produce some new leaves later in the spring to replace them.

But they are inside! I'm just worried that it may start with my pear and apple trees too, i've had bad luck with fruit trees!
I've uploaded a couple of photos to help with your diagnosis.
