I had to remove two huge globe cedars because they were overgrown & couldn't be pruned any longer. Now I have 2 huge empty spots on either side of the landscaping & sidewalk (eeek) I think I want to put 2 Pieris shrubs in their place. If I can find a couple now, could/should I plant them now or should I just try to be patient & wait till spring?

Would the answer be the same if I put in an a conifer of some kind?

    Thanks.............
