This is what appears to be a tree in my backyard, currently about 10 feet tall. I live in central NJ and have not seen anything like this locally. It has very large (and sharp) thorns, rounded leaves and an interesting grayish bark. There also appears to be some type of "fruit" growing on the ends of some branches and there are a few white flowers. All can be seen in the attached photos. Any ideas???

I think you are correct. Checked it out on the web. Thanks very much!
