this is from a prayer plant, new shoots keep coming up but the leave keep going yellow and drying up, so I repot it. During repotting, I found the little balls at the end of the roots. The roots are not very strong, very fine and soil are very sandy. Is this root-knot nematodes? if so is there anything I can do about it?

More likely that your plant needs higher humidity and more moisture in its soil.
Be sure that it is kept warm and out of cold drafts.
