Hibiscus leave turn Yellow

    Hi tI have two hibiscus plants that I brouhgt in form outside in Oct. before it turned cold.The leaves turn yellow and fall off shortly after I water them which I do add approximate once a week or when the soil is dry to the touch, new leaves come on and they also turn yellow and fall of any suggestion as to what I might be doing wrong. They get at least 5 hours of sun light each day. Inclosed is a pictures of the plants date picture taked where n ov.26 2007 not 2005

    Hi There

    Have you cut the plants back? They really like that. Maybe try some fertilizer and misting.
    I find mine usually drop some leaves when brought in for the winter.
    Check also for bugs.

    Hi I cut back the plant and cut back on the amount of water I gave the plants and they are starting to come back to life and give new leaves and folwering again.

    The plants are in a room in the basement that have flousent light on 16 hour a day
