Hi everyone. I came across this plant yesterday at a friends place that I was not able to recognize. It looks to me like it's either Asian or tropical, but I don't know anything else about it. I sent a picture to my dad who is a seasoned horticulturist and even he couldn't put a name to the picture on his iPhone. Anyways, hoping someone else out there could give me the answer to this mystery.

    Thanks for looking!
