why are some leaves turning brown?

    the leaves on the bottom of the plant are browning, and falling of. why is this happening. i put a few pics in so you can see the plant and were it is. it gets water about once a week and fertilizer about every 2 to 3 weeks. thanks for the help.

    What most people don't realize is that for plants leaves are only temporary structures that are eventually shed and replaced by new ones. It is normal for last year's leaves to eventually turn brown and drop when they are replaced by the new growth of the current season.
