Got a 4 foot tall lilac bush from my sister in law back in April. Planted in an area with at least 6 hours of full sun (approx. 10a-4p) and used leaf and vegetable compost for planting. It was doing just fine all summer and then a week ago I noticed the leaves were browning and curling. It is only August, so I cannot imagine cold weather in Ohio being a factor. Perhaps reintroducing fresh compost? I am open to suggestions.
