I seem to have this problem most years. The foliage dies, becoming wilted and soggy or sometimes dry and black before the flower stalks appear.

Is this something that might be common just because of the Lower Mainland climate? Does anyone else have a similar problem? Any solutions?

I really like these little flowers but the garden looks such a mess when the leafy parts don't stay nice and green.
