Hello everyone, I am brand new to this forum and was drawn to this site after seeing how helpful everyone is! I wondered if anyone could help me identify this plant? I've included two pictures.

We inherited it from the previous owners of our house and although the leaves look like a Ponytail Plant Beaucarnea recurvata, the base root is not thick like that of a Ponytail plant, and the branches are are rather thin and spiral-like.

I would like to identify the plant so that I can give it the proper care it needs because it looks like it's hurting and needs stronger branches to support its growth. As you can see, we've staked it to give it support to keep it from falling over.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like Dracaena marginata, Madagascar Dragon Tree.
