I am uncertain about the genus and species of this Malvaceae. I am more drawn to Malva moscata. Included in the photographs are the seeds. The plant was found growing at the side of the road at a quota of 2730 ft. Photographs were taken during the month of August of 2012. Geographical zone. Surrounding provinces of Naples, Italy. Most grateful for an opinion. duffy

Going by the shape of the epicalyx bractlets I would think Lavatera.

That's a plant I recognise! Many years ago a piece was given to my mom and it spread! Id always assumed it to be a Mallow (Malvus). The leaves are a little like Pelargonium and it spreads like wildfire!

    Re:Revised. Lavatera thuringiaca ?

After giving some thought whether this species is olbia or thuringiaca, I have come to the conclusion that it is more likely to be thuringiaca. However, I am not 100% sure. If any member can help I will be extremely pleased.
