Can anyone identify this plant?

    Received as a gift and have no idea what it was, but I let it die, obviously :( Can anyone help figure out what it was? The stems(?) were thick and tubular, and the leaves or whatever that grew on it were purple and green.

    Maybe a Sedum? It's really hard to ID from dead plants, but this one looks like it might have been a succulent in life....
