I've seen these lilies a few times in the past 3 years. I've never seen them at any greenhouse.

They appear to be lilies. They have the same stem and leaf structure. The lilies are a white...possibly off white/cream color. When they bloom they resemble tulips with the goblet shape to the petals instead of fully opening and the petals bowing back.

I've been searching google for pictures or any information. I've had no such luck but I've only been searching through lily directories. (I can't believe the beautiful lilies I never knew even existed! The colors are amazing!) If anyone could provide me with a picture, a name or any information...it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

http://Frittillaria.notlong.com/ Maybe you are referring to Frittilaria. Just an off chance. There are many types.

They don't face downwards though. I swear the next time I see them I'm going to ask the gardener what they are.

The flowers themselves are big. I've seen those before (the yellow ones) but the ones I'm referring to are very outstanding. They're beautiful. Big tulip/goblet appearance.

    Thank you. ;)
