    Hello all,

I'm looking for some information on the spacing of indeterminate tomato plants grown in a greenhouse. The greenhouse has a soil floor which we will grow the plants in, instead of containers.

I was thinking I could plant them closer together than I would outdoors and force the root growth down rather than out.

Any suggestions or weblinks would be appreciated.

    Thanks

The recommended spacing is 2' apart (each plant needs a 2' x 2' area). We planted ours 2' apart and are using 2 lengths of twine for each plant (hanging from an overhead pole) as trellising string; allowing only 2 leaders and removing all other suckers.
