A couple of months ago, this plant started growing in my patio. A couple of days ago, it started blooming. The flowers are very small, about an inch in diameter and they do not smell. However, the leaves stink really bad. I would like to know the name of this plant.

Looks like tropical milkweed/Mexican butterfly weed, Asclepias curassavica.

Unsure as to why this question appears in Maples...?

Its milkweed! Good for the monarch butterflies, please allow it to grow.
Once you get use to the smell, well.. I think it smells good, anyway.
