Hi - I am certainly hoping some one may be able to assist me with my Meyer Lemon tree. I am in Melbourne Australia where we are having a hot summer. I planted a reasoably well developed Meyer Lemon tree (4 foot tall) in the ground and it seemed like it was going to have a lot a fruit. The fruit appeared to set but simply went yellow and progressively dropped off.

Is this typical of a young tree or a possible deficency of some sort - any ideas welcome ??

It is not uncommon to drop fruit to the level that the tree can support. In general less than 5% of the fruit makes it to maturity.

thanks Skeet. This is probably consistent with the trees status. It is young and has recently developed a gn improved leaf coverage but ptobably needs another season to consolidate.

Looking forward to lemons next summer
