Tacca chantrieri (Bat Flower)

    I'm very taken with a picture I've just seen of one of these and am wondering whether they can be grown successfully in my zone (Vancouver, BC). I'm guessing I would have to grow it (next year) as a container-based plant as it it's hardy only in Zones 10 & 11.

    Anyone grown one of these successfully? And if so, how?

    Since I am in India, tropical climate, We can grow Tacca easily.
