I bought this shrub with the ID tag: "Chaenomeles species: jet trail flowering quince" size: .6m x 2m, flower:white/May". Then I went looking for further info online and in gardening resources and can't find a plant under these names that look like my little shrub....so the question is: what is it really? or is it some different variety not pictured on the internet?

Leaves are slightly fuzzy in appearance, greener when young, grey/silvery at ends of woody branches, no thorns. Low to the ground with longer trailing branches. i was told it could be pruned right back to make it more full and balanced in appearance.

Anyone know what it is? Do you have pictures to compare it to?

    Thanks! 2010_0806july20100021.jpg

Looks like one of the semi-dwarf willows - maybe a seed landed in a pot where the original plant had died. See if you can get the seller to do an exchange.
