I have a very nice sweet-smelling jasmine tree which I left in the garden too long. By the time I brought it into the house it had already been exposed to freezing temperatures. Now the leaves are dull & dark and are falling off. Is there any chance that this tree will survive or has the freezing weather killed it?

Look at the main stems and roots to see if it is still viable.
