grapefruit

  1. I've been trying to grow a grape fruit tree inside. I was wondering how long will it take for the tree to grow and start to produce fruit?

A grapefruit tree grown from seed takes 6-15 years to mature before producing. If fruit is your primary concern then you're better off to buy a grafted variety as it will flower and fruit much sooner. Alternatively you could take a cutting from a mature tree and try to root it. Also note that grapefruit requires a long period of heat during the growing season to produce good fruit. I'm not sure if this is possible under normal house conditions.
