My mom got this 5 months ago and it's starting to go downhill. We don't know what it is to research how to perk it back up. The leaves and stems are long. Pink (although the pink on the top of the leaves is starting to fade) and green on the top of the leaves in no real pattern, and dark pink underneath. Any ideas?
Yes!! Thank you so much. I did a bunch of googling with no success and am so glad I finally know what it is. http://www.arhomeandgarden.org/plantoftheweek/articles/tricolor_9-26-08.htm
It looks dry - Calathea curl their leaves under drought conditions. I'd try repotting it into a soil with more peat or coir in it, which will help with moisture retention.
