help identifying white flowering tree

    We love this tree. It's in full bloom right now, and has a lovely scent. Provides nice shade in the summer. Can anyone help identify it?

    thanks for the very prompt reply -- now we finally will stop calling it the 'Linden' tree!

    More likely Choke Cherry Prunus virginiana? Very similar in appearance, but native in BC, unlike European P. padus.
