I have two small unknown plants (A & B) in my Dorset, England garden.
Is anyone able to identify what they might be?

    2. Could be a Horsetail (Equisetum sp.) - do you have a photo in-situ? Is it only growing in the wetter areas of the garden?

The clasping petioles make me think it's in the Umbelliferae.
Seeing the rest of the plant would probably make the ID much simpler.
