    Hi
This is my first time here. Noticed several brown spots on the leaves of my irises. Got on the net any this website came up. I have been an active gardener for 5 years now and I am ready to get more serious about my hobby.
I have attached a couple of photos to see if anyone out there has seen this before, knows what it is and how to correct the situation.
    Thanks, risk_nut

This is common, you should be able to find out what it is pretty fast--I think it's called iris bacterial leaf spot or some similar, simple name--and spraying with fixed copper or a similar remedy is prescribed. However, since non-reblooming kinds (that's most of them) lose interest with the passing of the bloom anyway it might be as well just to cit the leaves back after bloom and not worry about it. They still grow and bloom despite the spotting.
