This plant is about 4' tall and the leafs are broad and about 5''-7'' wide and 10''-14'' long. The stalk is square in shape also. As of now I have not seen any flowers or buds.
This plant has been growing in my garden for about 4 weeks. I would like to find out any info on this plant, is it toxic or nontoxic, will it get flowers or is it just a weed.

    Thanks, Mike

Sorry I forgot to say were its growing. Hollywood Florida (south fl.)

It reminds me of genus Brillantaisia in family Acanthaceae.

Ha! My first thought was that the plant reminded me of my Strobilanthes dyerianus, aka Persian Shield. Also a member of the Acanthaceae.

Hesitated on posting this observation due to mike420's comment that his plant has square stems. ???
