Butterweed ?? Groundsel ???

    I am stumped in identifying this wildflower found yesterday in the Beehive Basin near Big Sky, MT at about 8,000' elevation.
    I note the smooth-edge lance shaped leaves, brown stems, and clustered flowers.

    Looks like Solidago sp. to me.

    How about Narrow Goldenrod (Solidago spathulata)
