Sure looks like a Polypore (which is in the Kingdom Fungi) to me. I could not even venture a guess as to what polypore you may have found in Brazil, though. Was it growing on a tree? and if so, what kind of tree was it?

i found it on the forest floor, i looked for more and found none and did not find any tree in the area that contained anything simular. Thank you for your effort and i willll continue to investigate. (it does look like a fungi come to think of it!)
