Hi all; I've been unable to figure out what this plant is so any pointers would be greatly appreciated; Its a perennial (though I suspect in a harsher climate ie anything in Canada except the SW corner of Vancouver Island it would be a self seeding annual) - most years it dies back to the ground over the winter or this winter it just died back to 4"-8". It flowers from May - first hard freeze (this year the last of our stopped flowering in December though they were starting to be moldy at that point) attached are two images - close up of one of the flower spikes and a whole plant against a wall - though as the season progresses it keeps sending up new spikes and a big plant can easily have a dozen tall branches. Thanks; Nick
Linaria purpurea. Also comes in pink and in white. I love it. The detail on the flowers is just exquisite. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=L...g&biw=1091&bih=525&sei=GYHjT_P4H8TW8gP317nXDg http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1...73&start=64&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:64,i:289
