This thing is big. Over five foot, is hollow like bamboo and grows fast. The flowers form green 'pumpkin-shaped' berries that turn dark purple in late Summer/early Fall. Someone said it was a 'camphor plant', but all camphor plant pictures look nothing like this at all! Does anyone know what it is?

    Thanks!

This looks like something from the Phytolacca genus.
