    #3,4 South Jetty Eureka, CA on the beach in the sand
    #5 All over Humboldt County, CA. Are these planted to help with erosion, invasive, native?

    The first is a Grevillea, perhaps a fine large specimen. The second is one of the many kinds of mesembs. The third is a Cortaderia, there are many stands of this weed in your area (I have been to Eureka-Arcata more than once this year; did you know there is an important collection of rare conifers at Humboldt State?).
