Well the last of my six Mimosa trees is dying from Mimosa Wilt. I loved these trees, but am now worried that the fungus can spread to other trees in my yard. Can this fungus do the same to other types of trees or is it only the Mimosa? Also I am thinking of planting different trees around the areas of these dead trees once they are removed, I have read that moving the soil is not recommended, to prevent the fungus from spreading to unaffected areas, can I plant new trees as long as they are not Mimosa? (thinking maybe some Crepe Myrtle and possibly Japanese maples)

    Thanks-
    Heather

If it were me I'd look up mimosa wilt and see what it said about that. Maybe it is in fact peculiar to mimosa or nearly so.
